In need of prayers. Les, my husband, he had a fall Sunday, August 16. Had to be taken to the ER. While there he had something that looked like a seizure. They kept he for observation. A brain MRI shows that he has Alzheimer’s. They want him to be evaluated with the Neuropsychologist and be tested to see how advanced. He is having difficulty getting around and understanding why he can’t go home. Saturday, August 22, he was discharged from the hospital to rehab. He will be in rehab for 2 to 6 weeks. He was in the shower when he fell. When he fell he hit the shower handle and broke the shower valve. We had some water damage, which requires repairs. We need to make the house handicap accessible. We have a long way to go.

Update on Les It’s been a ride. It is a major setback when he fell at rehab (it was not there fault). When he is discharged from rehab he will need 24/7 care. The children are concerned with my health. I have advance osteoporosis I cannot physically take care of him. If he pulls or grab me the wrong way he could break my bones. We have decided that the best thing for him so he will have the best care is to place him in assisted living when he is discharged from rehab. A difficult choice. It breaks my heart. His mental health is declining rapidly. The brain MRI that he had indicates that he has Alzheimer’s. We need prayers as we go through this stage and that he will adjust.
